We recommend two non-profit organizations based in the Czech Republic working closely with their Ukrainian colleagues. You can use your credit card.
People in Need
People in Need provides humanitarian assistance to victims of armed conflict, people on the run, refugees, and protect vulnerable families and individuals.
Post Bellum
Post Bellum buys medical material and protective gear for improving the safety of Ukraine's defenders, such as bulletproof vests, helmets, gloves, two-way radios, drones with night vision, and other non-combat equipment. We have been co-operating for instance with the Ukrainian NGO Повернись живим / Come Back Alive as well as with other organizations and individuals. We support humanitarian aid for people affected by the Russian army invasion.
You can find other Czech non-profit organizations raising funds to help the people of Ukraine at DARUJME.CZ, a platform for online giving in the Czech Republic. It facilities transfer of funds from donors to non-profit organizations.
IN THE US
Ukrainian American Coordinating Council, New York City-based Razom for Ukraine, and International Charitable Foundation “Come Back Alive” are uniting their efforts to purchase military-grade helmets and armory vests for the Ukrainian Army and Territorial defense battalions. European defenders are in huge need of these things right now.
Ukrainian American Coordinating Council (UACC)
Ukrainian American Coordinating Council (UACC) is obtaining an export license for regulated military-grade items such as helmets and armory vests. Only this non-profit will be able to send these things to Ukraine via Meest with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA.
If you'd like to make a bigger tax-deductible contribution ($5000+), they would prefer to receive it via wire transfer or ACH to speed up the process. Find more information: uaccusa.org, or contact them directly: info@uaccusa.org for a tax-deduction receipt.
If you'd like to make an itemized donation to UACC (helmets, armory vests, armory plates) please contact them at iryna@uaccusa.org and send your items to Meest NJ (600 Markley Street, Port Reading, NJ 07064, +18002889949).
