June Newsletter: From BBLA President

By Joseph Balaz | I would like to take this opportunity to wave a fond farewell to May and to welcome the glorious month of June. I want to congratulate us all on a successful spring season full of delightful and informative events. As you may know, summer arrives on June 21. On June 19, we will welcome the warm months with an enlightening documentary film, Tibor Spitz. 

Mr. Spitz, a scientist and artist who survived the holocaust and later escaped communist Czechoslovakia, will himself be present for a Q&A after the film. The event will be organized by the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences New York in cooperation with the Consulate General of Slovakia in New York and with the support of BBLA. 

I hope to see you all there taking this remarkable opportunity to meet Mr. Spitz and to learn more about his fascinating story.
