Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001, Requiem 2021 is dedicated to the dead and the heroic acts of first responders.
Requiem 2021 is a digital art show directed by Anna Eva Kotyza and set to the score of Requiem “Oratio Spei” (Prayer of Hope) by the noted contemporary Slovak composer Juraj Filas – a work dedicated to victims of terrorism.
This immersive show will be projected on the walls of the Historic Ballroom at the Bohemian National Hall. An accompanying virtual reality exhibition will feature works by artists Marketa Gebrian, America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Alex Dowis, and VR director Anna Eva Kotyza.

Anna Eva Kotyza is an American director of Czech and Slovak heritage working in film and VR. She is the winner of the 2020 ARTGRID x ARTLIST Editing Challenge - Ad Cateogry. Kotyza studied film and business at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, contributing to opening the NYU’s first VR Museum, “Château d'Art Futur.” She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy, majoring in Motion Picture Arts, where she received Young Artist award in her class. She continuously explores themes of love, identity, and home. She feels the need to investigate in her work new immersive storytelling mechanisms to understand and re-experience the past, present, and future.
