A screening of The Long Breakup – a feature-length documentary on Ukraine's struggle to escape Russia's embrace and become a truly independent nation. Join us to raise much needed funds and support Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Followed by Q&A with director, Katya Soldak. Katya is from Kharkiv, and her family narrowly escaped to Romania as bombardment of Kharkiv began. The talk will be moderated by Irena Kovarova, film curator, writer and owner of Comeback Company.

The Long Breakup takes viewers on an intimate journey in exploration of what happens when democracy slips away and a nation must fight for the right to choose its future.

SUGGESTED MINIMUM DONATION $20. 100% of the event proceeds will be donated to Razom for Ukraine, a non-profit focused on purchasing medical supplies for critical situations, such as blood loss, and other tactical medicine items.

Razom for Ukraine has a large procurement team of volunteers that tracks down and purchases supplies and a logistics team that then gets them to Ukraine. Through multiple meetings a day, Razom is coordinating with several partner organizations worldwide, including Nova Ukraine, United Help Ukraine, Revived Soldiers Ukraine, Sunflower for Peace, and Euromaidan-Warszava.

This event is organized by the Diverse Filmmaker Alliance, Vaclav Havel Library Foundation, Bohemian Benevolent Literary Association, and Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York.
